Philosophy
Emphasis is laid upon the sound grasp of the underlying principles and philosophies of homeopathy based on Hahnemann's Organon, as well as other major influential thinkers such as James Tyler Kent, George Vithoulkas, Herbert Roberts and others. A varied yet solid understanding enables practitioners in the assessment and treatment of their patients.

Repertory
The repertory is a ‘catalogue' of symptoms from the ‘provings' of remedies that are arranged as ‘rubrics'. Each rubric lists all the remedies that have that symptom in their picture. The repertory helps us to find possible remedies that we then study in the materia medica, in order to arrive at the similimum – that is the remedy that best matches the state of the patient. As the modules progress, the language and the uses as well as the limitations of the repertory are explored.

Materia Medica
The materia medica studies the pictures of remedies that are then used to match the symptoms of the disease to the symptoms of the patient. The major remedies of the homeopathic materia medica are taught in depth, and their manifestations explored from the beginning of dis-ease to their deeper penetration. A wide range of materia medica is studied from authors as diverse as Jan Scholten, Rajan Sankaran, George Vithoulkas and Jeremy Sherr, as well as Frans Vermeulen and Timothy Allen.

Medical Science
Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology and pathology are fundamental to anyone treating sick people and this is taught within the holistic framework of this course. In the foundation course the emphasis is laid upon anatomy and physiology (the body working in health) whilst the professional and advanced

courses concentrate on pathology (the study of the body in dis-ease).

Students are also required to complete a recognised first aid training day within the first six modules if going onto to study at practitioner level.
