Mentors And Course Tutors
Mentors and course tutors are an integral part of the distance learning Practitioner course.
Students studying other distance learning courses can request them as an optional extra.
Mentor
The role of the Mentor is to support the student in an on going way, somebody that can assist a student if they are struggling with aspects of the course. Mentors are not specialists within a subject but are graduates of the professional diploma course in homeopathy at Purton House. Their role is to suggest reference material, discuss ideas and answer queries where possible. If it appears that the student needs further assistance, the mentor will be able to refer the student onto a more suitable college department as required.
Course Tutor
The role of the course tutor is to guide a student through the course. Course tutors are members of the lecturing team and are most experienced and suited to help with specific queries on subject matters.
