What can homeopathy treat ?
Homeopathy is equally suited to acute illness (for example flu, coughs, cystitis, mastitis, tonsillitis and stomach upsets) and to more chronic conditions including:
- Emotional states
- Sleep problems
- Fatigue
- Children’s health and behavioural problems
- Digestive disorders
- Menstrual problems
- Skin complaints
- Arthritis
- Allergies
Is homeopathy safe ?
Homeopathic medicines are diluted until there is virtually no discernible substance left. The aim of taking a homeopathic remedy is to stimulate your own healing powers, not to overwhelm your body. Therefore, homeopathic medicines are extremely safe for use by everybody including pregnant women. They can also safely be taken by babies and children.
Children often respond very well to treatment and we have helped many children with behavioural disorders or chronic conditions such as eczema. It may however take more than one consultation before any improvement is felt.
Your first consultation
Typically, the first homeopathic consultation will last around 1 ½ hours, during which time you will be asked about your illness and also about your lifestyle, the medical history of yourself and your family, any stresses and strains, your emotional state and your personality.
From this information, a profile of you and your health is drawn up to be matched to the most suitable homeopathic medicine for you to take.
The length of treatment depends upon the illness, but improvement may be experienced surprisingly quickly. Follow up appointments usually last around 30 to 45 minutes.
Treatment Costs
Purton House operates both private clinics and teaching clinics with female and male homeopaths.
Private Clinic
Note: In the teaching clinics, the patient’s case is supervised by a registered and experienced homeopath. However the patient’s case is taken by a student with a second student observer. The students will then analyse the patient’s case with their class. All students abide by a strict code of conduct, adhering to confidentiality. In return for supporting the students’ education, patients receive a 50% discount on their treatment.
