What is Homeopathy ?

Homeopathy is a holistic approach to creating and maintaining health - the term holistic means treating the person as a whole, not as separate parts.

  • Homeopathy is based on the natural law that any substance capable of producing a group of symptoms in a healthy person, can cure those symptoms in a sick person.
  • The word comes from the Greek "homeo" meaning 'like' and "pathos" meaning suffering - like cures like.
  • It's an established concept in everyday life - 'the hair of the dog that bit you' - a drink the following morning may indeed cure the hangover..! Rubbing your arm after you've knocked it, can make that feel better…
  • Homeopathy looks to stimulate the body's natural energy force so that our own in-built healing system can be put to work. Unlike allopathy which concentrates on suppressing the symptoms of illness (through the use of 'anti' drugs - antibacterials, antifungal, antihistamine, antidepressants and so on), homoeopathy seeks to establish the underlying cause of illness.
  • People suffering from all kinds of illnesses including allergies, M.E (myalgic encephalomyelitis), asthma, eczema, constipation, insomnia, addiction, stress and depression can be treated by homoeopathy to regain health.
  • Whatever you are suffering from, or whether you want to achieve freedom from limitations in your life, reach good health, where you are no longer dependent on any medicine - homeopathy can help you.

" The highest ideal of cure is rapid, gentle, and permanent restoration of health, or removal and annihilation fo the disease in it's whole extent, in the shortest, most reliable, and most harmless way."

Hahnemann's 'Organon of Medicine'
